Nice little charger, works in VW and Audi
I bought two of these for my wife's 04 VW Passat and my 06 Audi A4. They fit nearly flush into the socket which is nice as I can close the cover on my A4 and it's completely hidden. 1 amp output is sufficient for everything except for my TomTom which likes 2 amps for best results. Now we can charge our iPods and phones in the car without concern. One other thing: the iPod cord is really beefy!I also bought a Kensington PowerBolt Duo for its 2 amp outlet that I keep in the accessory port under the armrest. It doesn't fit as well in the lighter socket as it protrudes enough to interfere with the lighter cover, so the Griffin is a better choice for that location if you're looking at both. Highly recommended!

Great power, low profile
I have had difficulty finding car chargers that would put out enough power to charge my Palm Pre. Most would sustain battery level at best, while others would slowly loose battery level as the phone was under load with the GPS running. This charger being a full amp-hour provides the amount of power needed to charge my phone, but keep charging it while under load.Additionally the low profile design which barely sticks above the power socket is great. In my '07 VW Passat, I can still close the cover that conceals the socket and ash try without having to remove the adapter. Even in other vehicles, this adapter would seamlessly turn that sightly power socket into two USB ports to fill a hole in the dash.

Initial Impression Report
Just received this item, so here's my initial impression. Looks well made. The item easily & snugly fits in the charging receptacle for both my cars & the cable easily fits into my iPhone 4. The compact size makes it very nice for traveling. The dual USB ports is nice feature too. Note: the item description says it has a resetting circuit breaker. That must be internal, because I don't see any sign of it anywhere on the outside of the product.

The episode opens with a very long report pitting the Mitsubishi EVO 10 versus the Subaru WRX. Jeremy can't figure out how to operate either car, there are just so many tweaks and controls in the car. At one point he says a 14 year old set the car up for him. There is also a very funny moment where Jeremy runs both cars past a bunch of Rally Racing fans at the track. The Stig drives both cars.The news is next. The Stig shows up on Dr. Who.Richard takes an Audi station wagon, A6S, to Les Arches in the French Alps. The drive is gorgeous. He races two guys on skis down the mountain. As usual, it would be nice if there was a real driver in this crew. I keep longing to see Tanner from the US version, or somebody that has some kind of skill run these challenges.The stars in a reasonably priced car are from what Jeremy calls Spooks, but is renamed MI-5 in the US. Rupert Penry-Jones and Peter Firth are surprisingly funny and a good interview. They show some...

just the right parts at the right time and price
Judging from a lot of the reviews here people seemed to be expecting more. Like expecting to pay more for the same or less. I looked at several kits here and elsewhere and I went ahead and ordered this for installing a Boss Bass1200 in a Tacoma pickup (I don't need to rock the car next to me, just me and my passengers). The fuse holder alone costs as much elsewhere (I saw the exact one) as the who kit does here. I don't do this professionally. Install car audio components. I don't have a tool drawer full of 8 gauge wires and nuts and crimp-on fittings (well, some) so this kit looked like the right thing and is enough to do the job with stuff left over. I've got a few niches open in my toolbox to fill. If you're a pro, or a wannabe-pro, I'm not talking to you. If you're a new car owner or someone just trying to upgrade his/her car stereo and you need a kit like this, buy it. It's a good deal.

Perfect for the BOSS Audio Compact Sub
I used this kit with a BOSS compact sub. It installed perfectly into a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. I would definitely buy this item again, even if I wasn't installing a BOSS sub. Its pretty flexible and provided me with plenty of wiring. I would recommend it without hesitation.
